As we move towards Pentecost as a church whānau, we’re embarking on a journey of 10 Days of Prayer.
This is a significant time to outwork the series we’ve been looking at - to pray for renewal in our lives, our church, this city, this whenua, and the wider world, all for the glory of Jesus’ name. We’re excited by what God has in store as we draw near to him.
We’re using these ten days to very intentionally pray over specific situations where we see a need for renewal, where we long to see the Holy Spirit move.

A Reverse Autumn
Throughout these 10 days, we also have a Prayer Tree set up by the high altar table. Here, there is an invitation to write your prayers on leaves and hang them on the tree.
In the midst of autumn, seeing leaves appear on the tree is a reverse-autumn of sorts. With leaves falling all around us, we are reminded of new life springing forth where we least expect it, that Jesus is making all things new as we bring our prayers before him.
