My story of miraculous healing

On 6th June 2021, I went to A&E at Auckland Public Hospital with severe pain and difficulties in the bowel area. After a CT Scan showed a mass in my lower abdomen, two surgeons said that the results indicated a cancerous mass and that I would need a colonoscopy to ascertain the best form of treatment - surgery, chemotherapy radiotherapy. Once in the ward, another surgeon and doctor spoke to me, with my husband David present, reiterating the diagnosis.

At the colonoscopy the person performing the examination looked at my scan and said he would prefer to give me a milder sedative so that I could move on the table for him to examine the mass in detail. Consequently, I was very coherent when he said,
“ I can’t find any mass”. The Colonoscopy report reflected this finding.

An MRI scan followed, which also showed a negative finding.

That’s the clinical facts. Now for God’s intervention.

When I was admitted to hospital, I began reading Psalm 91 and prayed that God give “His angels charge over me” as in the verses 10 and 11.

“No evil shall befall you,
 Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
 For He shall give His angels charge over you.
 To keep you in all your ways.”

David and three friends prayed for me over these few days.

I can’t speak high enough of the wonderful treatment I received by everyone at the hospital. Several of the nurses on the ward were believers and praised God when I told them the good news. When the doctor discharged me, he said he was “perplexed” and advised me to “go out and celebrate”.
My Ward 97 single room looked over the whole of the city, including St Paul’s Church. At night there is a beautiful bright light in front of the St Paul’s entrance; it seemed to me to be the light of Jesus as He stands at the door.

Thanks be to God for His endless faithfulness.
