I was born in Wellington but spent most my childhood growing up in the highlands of Papua New Guinea as a missionary kid. I came back to New Zealand to attend high school and had to readjust to the kiwi way of life which included formalities like wearing shoes! Having survived high school, I completed a BA at Auckland University before moving to Wellington to study jazz piano.
I starting working part-time for St Paul’s in July 2015, a role which includes liaison with groups that use the church building as well as maintenance and care of the church and grounds. When I’m not at St Pauls, I run my own small recording studio in Point Chevalier and teach one day a week at Excel School of Performing Arts.
