In August 1989, an arsonist set fire to the Chancel in St Paul’s causing considerable damage. The prayer table, altar table, clergy chairs and reredos (altarpiece) curtain were heaped next to the altar and set alight. The damage resulted in the re-carpeting and painting of this part of the church. We have 1980’s interior design trends to thank for the pale pink and green colour scheme of today!

If you live in One Tree Hill or a suburb close by, we'd love to get to know you better. Click here to join our facebook group, and we'll get in touch to organise some social gatherings where we can get to know each other, and take it from there!

We need your help keeping St Paul's kids safe on Sundays. Would you please partner with us to let our children know where the safe areas to play are? For safety reasons and to protect our expensive instruments, the band area including the piano and the side chapel where chairs are stacked are out of bounds. Let's all work together to help keep our precious kids safe. #ittakesavillage

We are so grateful to Artisan Flooring and the McLeod family from St Paul’s for their incredible generosity in providing the replacement carpet for our beautiful church. The old carpet was installed in 1969 and was long overdue for replacement! The new carpet, which will provide a walking perimeter, is of stunning quality, hard wearing, eco friendly and will help to dampen the sound of footsteps during services while protecting our kauri floor for subsequent generations.
